Getting to be about that time when New Year's resolutions
are fading fast.
People who were so gung-ho about losing pounds on December
31st are now reaching the point where they're "cheating"
here and there, or have out right said the heck with it.
Too bad.
Still some may be fighting the "battle of the bulge" and
will reach a normal weight...but then they'll go back to
their old ways and put it all back on and then some.
Even worse.
Why do people have such a difficult time taking off and
keeping off pounds?
Because dieting doesn't work.
If it did, why would there be over 30,000 different diets
in existence, yet over half of the population is too heavy
and nearly 1/3 are obese?
Dieting typically involves making changes in our eating
that make us downright miserable.
So we give up long before we can wear those "skinny
clothes" in our closet.
Think about it--the typical "diet" usually works in one of
five ways:
- Portion control (guarantees you always feel
hungry...that vending machine is calling your name)
- Completely eliminating a type of food from meals (until
you crave it like hungry lion craves meat)
- Gimmicks (Deal a meal, "fat burning" pills...give me a
break)
- Counting calories/exchanges (Who has the time or energy,
and are those calorie counts accurate anyway?)
- Special (expensive) foods or shakes that are nothing but
glorified processed food loaded with chemicals
Listen, the only "diet" that works is not a "diet" at all.
It's a healthy eating lifestyle.
As in, do it for life--not just a few months.
When you live a life of eating delicious, nutritious foods
that are easily digested together in your body, and eat
just until you're comfortable (not stuffed and needing a
forklift to move you from the table), you will absolutely
drop excess baggage.
And it won't come back.
No more "fat clothes" and "skinny clothes" in your closet.
You'll wear one (smaller) size and stay there.
No more dreading the scale in the doctor's office.
No more frustration or tears.
I'm 45 years old and weigh 115 pounds. How many 45 year-
old women do you know that weigh 115? Or even 25 year-old
women?
It's no magic. I'm not Wonder Woman. I just know how to
eat.
And I want you to know too.

Hi Sherry,
Our story may be a bit different from many due to the fact
that my wife and I both had bariatric surgery (gastric
bypass) 4 years ago. As a result, our digestive systems do
not produce near the amount of acids to break down foods
that normal stomachs do.
However, the surgery requires an even more careful
selection of food. There is an ongoing battle to balance
nutritional needs while fighting nausea and pain.
After receiving your material, we have completely changed
our shopping list and meals.
We plan our meal combinations much more carefully and we
are having fun experimenting with the new recipes.
It then occurred to us, since we have been doing this, we
have had pain free days and nights and each day we have
felt a little better mental awareness, a sense of wellness,
and more "spring in our step."
This system is making a difference. We feel we are on a
better path towards a healthy lifestyle.
