Many people ask us every week if eating the way I teach in
Great Taste No Pain can help with acid reflux.
I spend a LOT of time talking about acid reflux--how
overproduction of acid occurs because of eating too many
acid-causing foods and eating the wrong foods together.
The Great Taste No Pain manuals go into detail showing you
which foods are acid and which are alkaline, and teaching
you exactly what to eat with what to keep your stomach acid
low.
Plus, the creations from the GTNP recipe book are
delicious to boot-- and tasty food is not something acid
reflux sufferers are used to being able to eat without pain!
But instead of me doing all the talking today, I'd like
you to hear Lorraine's story about acid reflux.
*******************
Dear Sherry,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for being there.
I had acid reflux for over a year before I realized it. I
had a fairly constant minor cough and heavy phlegm. When I
couldn't clear my throat enough to be comfortable breathing
at night, I finally sought help.
I thought it was all in my head or allergies, but the ENT
doctor suggested it might be acid reflux (LPR -lower
esophageal reflux) and gave me a month's supply of Aciphex
to provide a diagnosis (assuming it relieved my symptoms).
I was so surprised. I thought I ate healthily, I
exercised regularly and at age 66, I thought I was doing
pretty good for my age. When the doctor suggested acid
reflux may be the problem and it could lead to damaging my
vocal chords, developing into Barrette's esophagus or even
cancer, I couldn't believe it!
Then I could feel the burn that wasn't really hunger pangs
as I thought. No wonder I wanted to eat all the time to
try and quell that feeling.
Prescription drugs worry me. I saw too many horrible drug
side effects during my years as a medical transcriptionist.
From internet research I found little help. Some ideas
temporarily helped, but nothing helped me heal.
In addition to taking Aciphex, I gave up coffee,
chocolate, mint, tomatoes, and all other "acid" foods --
still no help unless I wanted to stay on Aciphex forever.
Weaning off it only made it worse. The immediate side
effects were bloating and gassiness.
Long-term users talked of osteoporosis, stomach polyps,
rashes and all kinds of problems. I continued to look for
another answer.
Nearly two months later, I ran across your Great Taste No
Pain site http://www.greattastenopain.com and decided to
try it. I stopped the Aciphex again cold turkey and
followed first your 4-day plan and then the principles of
your system since then.
It is now a week and I FEEL FANTASTIC! My symptoms have
all disappeared. It's utterly amazing to me, a nutrition
freak, that it could be so simple! The food is great, the
principles easy to learn, and I love the recipes from your
cookbook.
Besides being healed, I love that you keep giving more
help through your follow-up emails. My thanks cannot be
more heartfelt. You have saved my health.
Lorraine,
California

I usually never believe any of these ads but this is my
Life Saver after so many gastro-scopes both up and down,
MRI's, scans and the list goes on and on.
I was even prescribed drugs that were already taken off
the American and European markets years ago. That says it
all. Please take a look. http://www.greattastenopain.com
