Insights on the "silent killer"

A frequent question I get is about a condition that the
medical community says that 9 out of 10 people over the age
of 55 will develop at some point.

It's called the "silent killer."

Hypertension.  (High blood pressure.)

Everyone has heard of blood pressure, but many don't know
exactly what it is, so here's a brief biology lesson:

Blood pressure is the force of blood against the walls of
your arteries.  It's a measure of how forcefully your heart
is beating--how hard it needs to work to pump blood through
your body.

It's recorded as two numbers-the systolic pressure (as the
heart beats) over the diastolic pressure (as the heart
relaxes between beats).

A blood pressure of between 90/50 and 120/80 is considered
normal.

Anything from 140/90 and up is considered high.  (I'll
talk about the readings in between those ranges in a moment.)

OK, biology lesson over.

Blood pressure is NOT a true condition in itself--it's
simply an indication of risk or a sign that something may
be wrong or could be wrong in the future.

People with high blood pressure are said to have a higher
risk of heart disease and stroke.

And the standard treatment once your numbers hit 140/90 is
drugs, baby.  For the rest of your life.

Does Big Pharma ever LOVE that.  Can't you just hear the
money rolling in all those years?

People taking hypertension drugs are, understandably, so
frightened that they're now a "risk" for a stroke or heart
disease that they dutifully take their pills every single
day.

Chi-ching.

"What about the people in between?" you may ask.  Those
whose pressures aren't high yet, but aren't normal either?

A reading between 121/81 and 139/89 used to also be normal
or acceptable, but it's now called "prehypertension" by the
medical community (meaning the person doesn't have high
blood pressure now, but is likely to develop it in the
future).

In other words, these people are now potential customers
for drugs in the future and Big Pharma has them targeted.

It's interesting to note that 9 out of the 11 coauthors of
these new "prehyptertension" ranges received speaker's
payments, or research funded from, consulted for or owned
stocks in a LONG list of drug companies.

Hmmm...I wonder whose best interest they had in mind?

Thankfully, more and more forward thinking doctors are
taking the stand that you must look at the entire picture
and not just a pressure reading before you consider someone
a risk for heart disease or stroke (and medicate them).

These doctors look at whether a person smokes, if they
exercise, and most importantly--ask about the person's
diet.

Bingo!

Diet is THE single biggest factor that can lead to high
blood pressure.

Here's why:

When someone eats a very acidic diet (processed, badly
combined, acidic foods) this creates an overall acid
environment and generates a tremendous amount of toxic
wastes ALL over the body, including the bloodstream.

Now, keep in mind your heart pumps an incredible 13,000
quarts of blood each and every day.  And if there are
toxic, acidy wastes in that blood, that puts a HUGE strain
on your heart to do its job, so it must work harder and
harder and harder.

Hypertension in the making.

Plus the acid wastes in your system rob your blood of
oxygen, and that causes your heart tissue to
deteriorate...as in, get diseased and stop working.

So it's no wonder people with hypertension are risks for
heart disease and stroke.  Their hearts are working like
crazy to pump all the acidy blood, their heart tissue is
beginning to deteriorate, and their blood has less oxygen
for all of the body's organs and tissues, including the
brain (can you say stroke?).

It's also no surprise that people with high blood pressure
are targets for developing kidney failure.  The kidneys
can't function normally in an acidic environment either,
plus it puts a tremendous strain on them to filter all of
the acid out of the blood.

Kidney failure in the making.

Listen, if you want your best prevention against high
blood pressure and don't want to be yet another Big Pharma
client, or even if you have it already and want to help
control or lower it, the solution is easy.

Treat yourself with food.  It's easy, cheap and safe.

By making your body alkaline through your food, ALL of
your organs and systems will work better.

Without all those toxic, acid wastes in your blood, your
heart will not need to work as hard to pump the blood
through the body.

Less strain = healthier heart (and less chance of high
blood pressure and heart disease).

Your blood will have more vital oxygen for nourishing your
body and your brain.

More oxygen freely flowing to the brain = less chance of
stroke.

And the rest of your body will say thank you too--from
your head to your toes.

In Great Taste No Pain, I'll teach you what you need to know
to accomplish this. http://greattastenopain.com/great.asp

In it, there are guides that tell you exactly how to
structure your meals and which foods are alkaline or acid-
creating.

And there's even a pocket guide to use when dining out, so
you can be extremely healthy even if you are BUSY!

Don't set yourself up to be a lifelong client of Big
Pharma and pay big bucks for their poisons each month.

Make a one-time tiny investment in your health with Great
Taste No Pain and reap the benefits for all your years to

PS:  Brigitte is now free of high blood pressure and the
pills that go with it:

*******************

Sherry,

I have been on high blood pressure pills for about 4 years
now and guess what?  I haven't had to take them for the
last 2 weeks.

I monitor my blood pressure everyday, and since I have
been eating your way I have felt so much better, so 2 weeks
ago I decided to give it a try (ditch the pills).

I have been high blood pressure free ever since.

Thank you!

I will of course keep an eye on it but I'm totally
convinced that it is because of the Great Taste No Pain way
of eating.

I'm sleeping all night and feeling alive again all because
of your advice.

Thanks again, Sherry & God bless.

Cheers,

Brigitte
