The drug chain-reaction

It's truly frightening when you realize that people
everywhere are told to take drugs every single day that are
so toxic that they end up causing another serious sickness
or illness.

Then a second drug is prescribed for the illness caused by
the first drug.

Then the second drug causes another sickness for which a
third drug is prescribed...and so on.

I call that the "drug chain-reaction."

A better expression might be "sheer madness."

Because when someone gets sicker and sicker from drugs,
yet their doctor insists that they still must be taken,
regardless of the sickness or disease they're causing,
there's something a bit maddening about that picture.

Here is an example.  See what a prison Rebecca was in with
her drug chain-reaction-- until Great Taste No Pain helped
to set her free:

*******************

Sherry,

I have had stomach problems for years and years, but a
little over 10 yrs ago, the doctor put me on Aciphex.

It helped the GERD/reflux/indigestion, but over time it
decreased my bone density, even though I was on another
pill, Actonel, for bone loss.

When I took the patient info to my GI doctor a few years
ago and asked about the bone loss for those over 55, he
just said, "Yes, but you need it and if you have bone loss,
we can give you something to take for it."

Well, I got off both these drugs and then was in misery
from indigestion.

I tried everything--I was taking something from the health
food store, called "Heartburn essentials" and also
digestive enzymes.  I was told that because I had been on
Aciphex for so long, my body was not making digestive
enzymes, so I was taking about 4-6 of each.

I did some research online and found your site.

I read it and mulled over it for about 3 weeks.  Finally I
decided to take the 4 day challenge and see if it works.

I started 8 days ago and I've been indigestion free.  I
did take the supplements a couple of days after I started
this way of eating "just in case."

I am amazed that my stomach is SO much better.  I want to
shout it to the world!

Imagine taking Aciphex for 10 years--it's not even proven
safe after 1 year, but the GI doctor told me I would be on
it the rest of my life!

I feel like I have been set free!

Thank you for your wonderful plan.  I quit coffee the 1st
day and haven't even had a headache.  I just ordered the
complete plan and can't wait to get it.

Thanks again,

Rebecca

SB:  Rebecca, may you enjoy a long, pain-free life.

===============

It's a darn good thing Rebecca finally took responsibility
for her own health by reading about the drugs she was on,
started asking questions and began looking for another
answer when she wasn't satisfied with what she learned.

Here is some information about the drugs Rebecca was on,
along with my comments:

Aciphex
=======

Aciphex is intended for short-term (4 to 8 weeks)
treatment of GERD/acid-reflux.  For those patients who need
it, an additional 8-week course of Aciphex may be considered.

That means it's only supposed to be used for 16 weeks, tops.

The most common side effect of Aciphex is headache, but
other reported side effects include:

- Tiredness
- High blood pressure or heart attack
- Migraines
- Chest pain, increased heart rate
- Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting
- Indigestion--(this is why it was prescribed for Rebecca
to begin with)
- Flatulence, constipation
- Gallstones
- Anemia
- Swelling
- Wei-ght gain or loss
- Gout
- Insomnia
- Anxiety, depression
- Itching, allergic reaction
- Spinning sensation, dizziness
- Hair loss
- Glaucoma
- Dry eyes
- Abnormal vision
- Ringing of the ears
- Middle ear infections
- Bladder infection

It has also been associated with bone loss and a high
incidence of hip fractures.

And as Rebecca noted, controlled safety studies of the
drug don't even exist beyond 12 months.

Rebecca was on Aciphex for 10 YEARS, and her doctor wanted
to keep her on it for LIFE.  She was basically told to be a
human guinea pig, who also was developing bone loss from
Aciphex, so she was given...

Actonel
=======

Side effects of Actonel include severe back, muscle, bone
or joint pain, stomach pain or upset and constipation.

So Rebecca ran the risk of having an upset, painful
stomach and being constipated on top of having GERD.

Plus Actonel now apparently has been shown to cause a
condition called ONJ (osteonecrosis) or "dead jawbone" for
which a class action lawsuit has been filed against Proctor
& Gamble.

But according to Rebecca's doctor, that was a suitable
answer for the bone loss caused by the Aciphex.  He never
mentioned the osteonecrosis it causes.

========

Don't let yourself become a part of this madness and find
yourself imprisoned with drug chain-reactions.

Take a lesson from Rebecca (and me).  It's up to us as
individuals to take responsibility for our own health.  Ask
questions.  Demand alternatives to dangerous drugs.  Get
second and third opinions if necessary.

Seek out holistic practitioners who rely on safe, natural
forms of treatment and supplements.  You can locate holistic
practitioners by visiting the American Holistic Medical
Association website at www.holisticmedicine.org

And do your part too.  Take care of yourself in the most
important way you possibly can--your diet.

Eat real (not processed) foods in good combinations to
keep acidity down in your body.  A body with an alkaline pH
is far more likely to be healthy, full of energy and free
of disease.

Great Taste No Pain will show you exactly what to do, so
get it now and use it.  You couldn't do anything better for
your health.

PS:  Sandy has said goodbye to 5 years of acid reflux (and
drugs):

*******************

Sherry,

There are no words to express how thankful I am to you for
your plan.

I have to admit, if the Pain-Free in 1 Day trial had not
been a free offer, I would never have tried it.  It simply
sounded too good to be true, just another false promise.

Boy, was I surprised!  After only one day, most of my
symptoms disappeared!

I have had acid reflux for about 5 years.  During that
time, I've been on at least 5 different medications.  They
always seemed to help at first, but then all the symptoms
returned.

Finally, I was having trouble sleeping.  It felt as if an
elephant was sitting on my chest.  The burning pain went
through my chest to my back.  I became exhausted doing the
simplest tasks.

I decided to research and see if there was another way to
get relief.  When I read your program, I decided I had
nothing to lose by trying it.  I wouldn't be putting any
pills or chemicals into my system, just ordinary food.

I was and still am amazed at the results.  I'm in my
second full week of your program.  I feel better than I
have in years.  I have energy, no pain, and I've lost 7
pounds!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sandy Murray
