A Doctor's Bizarre Response To IBS Patient

Yesterday one of our client services staff answered an
interesting great question about IBS.  The question and
answer deserve sharing.

My doctor told me that I have functional bowel disease.  I

Hi Barbara!

Without trying to sound funny, I sorta wonder where your
doctor got his degree.  Sounds like it might be Mickey
Mouse University.  Because a primary treatment protocol
today is probiotics for functional bowel disease (another
name for Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS), which is
actually not a disease at all.

Dear Sherry,
