Can this cause problems?

I got a question yesterday (below) that served as my daily
reminder about how out of control our society is with its
dependence on prescription and OTC drugs to create false
health.

Now, of course, drugs save countless lives and they
most certainly have their place in the treatment of
sickness and disease.

But the problem is that they're commonly seen as the FIRST
and ONLY answer.  This is dangerous for many reasons.

Now, more and more forward-thinking doctors are
recommending holistic treatments, stressing the importance
of things like a healthy diet and an alkaline pH.  Their
ranks are growing, but they're still in the minority.

Most still spend 5 minutes tops listening to you describe
your symptoms before they get out the prescription pad and
send you on your merry way, without giving one word of
preventative advice.

Here is yesterday's question:

*******************
Sherry:

My daughter has started giving Tums for Kids to my
grandchild (4 years old) whenever he has a gassy stomach.
Can this cause problems later on?

Joyce Nicholson
*******************

SB:  Joyce, the answer is YES, absolutely, positively,
certainly.  Big problems.

Here's why:

First of all, there are no reported "common" side effects
from Tums for Kids (yet).  There is risk of an allergic
reaction, however, and parents should get their child to a
doctor immediately if they develop a rash, hives, itching,
difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of
the mouth, face, lips, or tongue.

But the bigger problem lies in what is causing the gassy
stomachs to begin with.

Our bodies were designed to work perfectly eating the food
that is provided for us all on Earth.  There's no such
thing as a gassy stomach for no reason.  Gas is a symptom
of a problem.

Far and away, the most common causes of gas are:

1- Eating processed foods (including fast food)
2- Eating too many acidic foods, and
3- Eating badly combined meals

These put a gigantic strain on the digestive tract and
cause digestion to be slowed way down or come to a
screeching halt.

This causes your stomach to overproduce acid in its
efforts to get the job done, which can rise up into the
throat and you feel like a fire-breathing dragon.

During this time your food is sitting in your stomach with
all that acid, rotting and putrefying.  That's when World
War III starts down there--gas, bloating, cramping,
flatulence.

And that's about the time that your grandson gets the Tums
because he's crying with a tummy ache.

When the poorly digested food is finally pushed into the
intestines, it doesn't move along like it should.  So
voila'--constipation or diarrhea are the result.  More
crying.  And Mom and Dad feel hopeless, so they run to the
doctor or pharmacy to spend $20-$100 dollars for a
temporary fix that fixes nothing.

This doesn't only happen to adults--young or old, we're
all put together the same way, and it happens to children
just as easily as adults...even to kids 4 years old and
younger.

So Joyce, there's definitely something wrong with how your
grandson is eating...and that will certainly cause problems
now and later on.

If he is needing to eat Tums at age 4, he's unfortunately
heading down a road that will almost guarantee lots of
pain, sickness and illness.

Some of the effects of lifelong acidic, badly combined
eating habits include:

1- Diverticulosis/diverticulitis
2- IBS
3- Colitis
4- Ulcers
5- Acid reflux/GERD
6- Hiatal hernia
7- And if it goes on long enough, cancer
8- Aches and pains all over the body due to the
inflammation caused by an acidic pH

Joyce, your grandson's tummy is trying to tell you
something is wrong.  Listen to it.

You cannot mask his symptoms with drugs.  He'll grow up
dependent on one pill or another and still be in stomach
agony.

Certainly it's wise to have a doctor rule out a serious
problem, but at the same time, it's essential that his diet
be changed.

There's nothing nicer that his Mom could do for him than
to get Great Taste No Pain and use it (for herself too).

If he is fed mostly alkaline foods in good combinations,
his tummy aches will disappear in no time...and so will the
need for the Tums.

And if he lives a life of eating correctly combined meals
and keeping his pH alkaline like it should be, he can look
forward to vibrant good health for many, many years to come.

I know it's hard to say no to the cookies, Happy Meals,
ice cream and his favorite meals (which, no doubt, are
likely badly combined), but continuing on the current path
will keep him feeling like he's feeling.

Plus the recipes and meal suggestions in Great Taste No
Pain are so yummy, any 4 year-old would love them.

Try it--and I'm sure you'll see a new little boy on your
hands very soon.

PS:  Patricia said adios to her stomach problems and the
purple pills:

*******************

No one could pay me enough money to eat the way that I
used to!  The pain, acid reflux, stomach bloating, heavy
burping, gas, bathroom problems, and Nexium are gone.  I
have been on this program about 4 weeks.

I work in a room with several other ladies and now I don't
fear that my stomach will roar and embarrass me, as it did
so many times.  The roar was not a normal stomach growl;
the sound was horrible!  My first day on the program made a
difference.

I want to encourage everyone who has any of the above
problems to get on this program.  No doubt about it, it
works!

I have been noticing other people with their beach-ball -
size-stomachs, and it's hard for me not to mention the
"combining food" program.  They look so miserable, and I
want to help them.

I thank God for Sherry everyday!

Thanks, Patricia in Alabama
