If you've been with us for even a short time, you're well
aware of the importance of having good bacteria in your gut
to fight bad bacteria.
But what I haven't talked much about are the bad guys.
Let me introduce you to them today:
1) Meet Clostridium. Some of the more common species in
this category are:
- C. botulinum, which causes food poisoning and is one of
the most deadly toxins known to man
- C. difficile, which causes diarrhea
- C. tetanus, which leads to muscle spasms in the jaw
(lockjaw) and in other areas of the body too
2) Here's Escherichia. The more popular version of this
is E. coli, which is the number one cause of UTIs (urinary
tract infections). It also causes diarrhea, pneumonia and
meningitis.
3) This is Coliform. It's the bacteria that you're
worried about when you go to a remote place for vacation
and they say, "Don't drink the water!"
Exposure to coliform causes cramps, bloody stools,
diarrhea, headache, nausea and vomiting. Severe cases can
also lead to paralysis, kidney failure, respiratory failure
and death.
4) Meet Staphylococcus. Various strains of this bacteria
cause soft tissue infection, food poisoning and skin
infections.
5) Lastly, here's Pseudomonas. Its claim to fame is that
it's a major cause of hospital infections. It also happens
to be very resistant to antibiotics, which makes it even
more dangerous.
All of these bad boys thrive in the nice warmth of your
intestines and are anxious to wreak their havoc on you.
They are there all the time. When you have digestive
problems, there are too many of these dudes inside your gut.
Don't give them a chance. Keeping their numbers down is
the key to digestive health. Make sure you have a strong
army of good bacteria in your gut to overcome these
monsters and stay healthy.
Just one capsule a day will keep your intestinal flora in
balance and prevent you from becoming a victim to a serious
illness due to bad bacteria.
To your health,
Sherry Brescia
