New breakthrough for allergy sufferers

Now that fall is here, the 36 million seasonal allergy
sufferers in the US will be getting runny noses, itchy
eyes, sneezing and congestion.

These symptoms aren't just a nuisance--they can be
downright debilitating at times and impact your quality of
life.

And if they're tied in with asthma (as allergies
frequently are) an attack can be life-threatening.

The mainstream medical community offers 3 standard
treatment options for allergy sufferers, all of which have
some pretty interesting side effects:

1) Antihistamines
(Ex: Benadryl, Claritin, Clarinex and Allegra)

How they work:  When you're exposed to an allergen, your
immune system cells release a chemical called histamine,
which causes your blood vessels to enlarge, and the
familiar redness, swelling, itching and nasal drip.

Antihistamines work by blocking the histamine receptors in
your body so the familiar reaction (and symptoms) doesn't
occur.

Side effects include:  Drowsiness, stomach upset or pain,
headaches, rapid heartbeat and dry mouth

2) Decongestants
(Ex: Zyrtec-D, Sudafed, Afrin, Claritin-D, Allegra-D)

How they work:  Decongestants shrink your swollen nasal
tissues and blood vessels to relieve the symptoms of nasal
swelling, congestion, mucous secretion, and redness.

Side effects include:  They can raise blood pressure,
cause insomnia or irritability and restrict urinary flow.
Plus they can eventually INCREASE nasal congestion--
worsening the very thing they're supposed to help.

And the nastiest of all the drugs:

3) Steroids (Ex: Beconase, Flonase, Nasocort, Nasonex,
Rhinocort, Veramyst, Prednisone)

How they work:  They reduce tissue inflammation associated
with allergies.

Side effects include:
- Weight gain
- Fluid retention
- High blood pressure
- Growth suppression
- Diabetes
- Cataracts of the eyes
- Bone thinning osteoporosis
- Muscle weakness
- Cough, hoarseness
- Yeast infections of the mouth

The kicker here is that all these drugs do is mask
symptoms (and many times make you feel worse!).  None of
them does a darn thing to address what's really going on
when your body has an allergic reaction.

But probiotics can.

That's right.  Probiotics are showing great promise in the
treatment of allergies.

Here's how -- I'll give an example using cat dander
(microscopic pieces of dry cat skin which sloughs off
and becomes airborne landing just about everywhere):

Your body has a system of enzymes to digest cat dander
using a 2-step process.

First, when you breathe in the dander, enzymes break down
the protein molecules in the dander into little things
called peptides.

Next, more enzymes digest these peptides and turn them
into amino acids.  Once they become amino acids, your body
can deal with them and there's no risk of an allergic
reaction.

This process can only run properly if you have enough of
the right kinds of enzymes, though.

People that have allergies don't have sufficient levels of
enzymes to break down and transform the allergen into
benign amino acids.

Make sense?

Now, the good news is probiotics have shown repeatedly to
help.

Probiotics in your body actually manufacture enzymes to
help your body break down the proteins in allergens and
help give you relief from the familiar symptoms.

Clinical studies show that the probiotic strain
Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) has been particularly
helpful for people with both seasonal and food allergies.

In one long-term double-blind study, a probiotic mixture
including LGG was given to 1,223 pregnant women 2-4 weeks
before they delivered.  Once the children were born, the
children were also given the probiotics for 6 months.

The children who received the probiotics before and after
birth were 34% less likely to develop eczema and other
allergic disorders.

Another study done by Finnish scientists showed
significant reductions in milk allergies by subjects who
were given LGG.

Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei and
Lactobacillus bulgaricus have also been shown to help
protect against allergies.

My own history with allergies was a big reason why I
included all four of those allergy-fighting Lactobacillus
strains in Super Shield probiotic formula.

Over 50 million people in the US alone suffer from
allergic disorders, and those numbers continue to grow.

Clearly the current treatment options I cited above aren't
"cutting it" and more people suffer each year, with
allergies and with the side effects of the drugs they take
for them.

I strongly recommend giving your body a boost of the good
bacteria that it needs so it can make enough enzymes to
fight allergens (that really aren't enemies at all).

My allergies completely disappeared over 17 years ago, and
have not returned, and taking probiotics everyday was a big
reason why.

Why not see what a pharmaceutical grade probiotic can do
for you?

PS:  Karen no longer has daily diarrhea, stomach aches and
reflux:

Hi Sherry,

Well, you are absolutely correct in your words.

Super Shield has stopped my daily diarrhea, stomach aches,
reflux, acid indigestion, etc. etc.  I actually feel better
these days than I have felt in a long time.

I've also recently given some Super Shield to my mother-in-
law with a severe case of acid reflux and she asked me to
place an order for her with my next order (which will be
today).

It took about 2 weeks for me to realize that Super Shield
was working.  You've made me a very happy customer.

Thank you,

Karen W.
