Study: Probiotics stop colds -increase white blood cell counts

I was recently asked an excellent question that's worth
sharing:

"Sherry, I'm pretty healthy.  I haven't got any aches,
pains or stomach problems.  I only get an occasional cold.
Do I still need to take probiotics?"

Answer:  If you want to stay healthy and prevent more
serious health problems in the future, yes, you do.

Because, even if you only get an occasional cold,
probiotic supplementation can help.

Here's an example:

A study conducted in Germany and published in the journal
Clinical Nutrition recruited 479 healthy adults ages 18 to
67.  All were given nutritional supplements (vitamins and
minerals).  But half were chosen at random to receive
probiotic supplements.  None of the participants knew which
supplements they were given.

Over the 3-month study period, the participants were asked
to keep a daily health diary.  Those who caught colds were
asked to fill out forms detailing the severity of their
sore throats, runny noses, coughs, fatigue, etc.

Those who received the probiotics not only caught far
fewer colds, but colds were also shorter by almost 2 days
and their symptoms were much less severe.

Plus a subgroup of 122 of the participants had immune
system testing done that showed the probiotic participants
had higher white blood cell counts, which is a reflection
of a strong immune system.  So overall, they became better
able to fight off infections of all kinds.

Neat, huh?

In addition to helping with reducing the risk of colds,
and their severity, probiotic supplementation can keep
things from "breaking down" in your body.

They're like tune-ups, oil changes, greasing the grease
joints for your car and keeping it clean.  The all keep
your car running and looking its best...and you should
never ignore these maintenance practices, or the price can
be huge, destroying the life expectancy and the resale
value of the vehicle.

The human body is the same way.

Even if your gut microflora is not too far out of whack
(the minimum balance is least 85% good bacteria and 15% or
less bad) at a given point in time, many factors can cause
that to change in a snap.  They include:

* Stress (emotional and physical)
* Toxins in the environment
* Pathogens and carcinogens (cancer-causers) in your food
* Antibiotics--both the ones you swallow and the ones your
food has in it (beef, chicken, etc.)
* Losing sleep
* Medications
* Eating sugar sweetened foods
* Salty foods
* Processed foods (anything in a box, can or bag)
* Drinking chlorinated water, alcohol and coffee
* Smoking (even second-hand smoke)
* Not having regular bowel movements...

What's difficult is that there are no red flags that pop
up and say, "Your microflora is out of whack!"

Instead you just start to feel vague symptoms--maybe some
bloating, gas  constipation or diarrhea that you blame on
last night's Chinese food or "bad" chicken, that probably
wasn't "bad" at all.

Or maybe you feel fatigued, have achy joints or get
headaches that you brush aside and just pop an Advil.

All of these are signs of a gut microflora imbalance.

If you ignore it long enough, that's when trouble really
starts to brew.  Your immune system becomes compromised and
you can end up with a really serious condition--viruses,
bacterial infections and even cancer.

So the bottom line is this:  If you're healthy, that's
great.  If you want to stay that way and age better than
many people you see who look a lot older than they are,
it's essential that you keep your gut microflora balanced.

How can you do this?  It's simple.  Super Shield's 13
strains of research-grade probiotic bacteria can whip your
gut microbes into shape and keep them balanced...

PS:  Gail's psoriasis has disappeared with Super Shield:

Sherry:

I began taking Super Shield about 3 weeks ago after
reading about it on your website.  My concern was Psoriasis
that was covering aboug 70 percent of my body.  It was not
responding to IV infusions, weekly injections or any of the
myriad of creams that had been prescribed.

Within a week, my arms were cleared.

I had to see my doctor and I showed my bottle of Super
Shield to sort of see if he thought it was "okay."  He
said, "Great--I'm putting that down on your chart."
